Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment

Whether required as part of an initial feasibility study, or to support a planning application, ADSe are very experienced in preparing robust assessments of potential landscape and visual impact.

ADSe has extensive skills in identifying, predicting and evaluating environment effects through consultations, surveys, and impact analysis. We have experience developing effective mitigation techniques and making public presentations. The practice is fully conversant with all EIA guidelines and techniques and we can draw upon sophisticated computer software to predict, evaluate and present proposals. We can prepare accurate visibility analysis and detailed photomontages to support written assessments.

We have developed our own landscape and visual assessment methodology, based upon the Landscape Institute’s Guidelines for Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (3rd edition), which is robust, and has weathered many appeals and planning inquiries.

Visualisation

ADSe has extensive skills in identifying, predicting and evaluating environment effects, drawing upon sophisticated computer software to predict, evaluate and present proposals. We can prepare accurate visual representations, photo-realistic and visually-verified photomontages to support written assessments.

Over a number of years we have devised and developed techniques for generating robust photomontages, which can withstand scrutiny at appeals and public inquiries. We use specialist software for generating photomontages of wind turbines and wind farms.

We coordinated the EIA for the replacement of the facilities at the Snowdon summit, using photomontages to illustrate the likely appearance of the new facilities, and to support the Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment.
